Nestled in the hub of the Mediterranean, Tunisia is strategically positioned as an ideal investment destination for investors and multinationals alike. The economy and investment opportunity in Tunisia is driven by mechanical, electronics and automotive components followed by Software, IT, Textiles and Pharmaceuticals. According to a Global Innovation Index, Tunisia is ranked 2nd as an innovative economy in Africa. Over the last decade, Japan and Tunisia’s economic relation has been favorably developing. This is further confirmed with the hosting of the 8th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) which will be held in Tunisia in 2022. Japan’s footprint in Tunisia is initially anchored by investment in electronics and automotive component supply chains.
